Adopt a Trail, Lake, or Peak
We all share a high level or responsibility when we enter nature. The enjoyment of nature that attracts us to visit comes with a level or responsibility; consider becomeing a guardian of nature. Please help by choosing a trail, lake, stream, peak, or any location of our choice and take an adoptive spirit while enjoying the special place or journey. With a sense of guardianship it encourages us to put an extra effort in ensuring that the proper steps are being taken to preserve it.
Please take the time to learn and teach the Leave No Trace ethics; it is essential in doing our part. Even small efforts, like picking up litter can go a long way towards ensuring the enjoyment for others. If we observe something that needs attention or we have a recommendation; make note of it, take a picture, and share this information with the organization that has authority over the specific area. The Forest Service or authoritive organization needs our help in ensuring that nature is preserved and improvements are made to current programs.
There are many opportunities to volunteer our service; it is as another way to give back to an area in nature that we enjoy. There are many ways to volunteer, check out the many organizations that are currently helping protect nature or find the government organization that is responsible for its management.
