The Magic of Granite

To sit on granite feeling connected with nature fills my heart with joy and happiness. The fresh air, sweet smelling wildflowers, and the peaceful sounds of a stream; the wind and happily chirping birds all add to the experience. But it is the granite that provides the solid conductor to the planet, it is transient but one of the more permanent materials on earth. As I sit on granite I imagine the same space may have been occupied by others thousands of years ago. Granite has seen so much, almost timeless but not. To share my feelings and thoughts with granite knowing it is so wise, then listen to what granite has to say, so experienced so knowledgeable; it understands far more than my physical form can imagine. I yearn for the time when my spirit will totally connect with nature; where my soul will be provided with the answers I desire.
